....his digibox is fuked, an agent he rang suggested re-applying to save the €400 for a new box. Can this work? (btw, they live in the countryside - no house no.) I assume the application has to go through this particular agent, can that b arranged?
And a second question while I'm here - does the Sky contract stipulate that the phone line be active for 12 mths only? (I've lost my contract, takn out in late 2000). In other words, am I breaking the contract if I don't have the phone line in now, almost 2 years later?

    Thanks in advance....:)

Now I'm going here by advice given for the UK - down south it may be different...

if he hasn't moved house it will be near impossible unless you can somehow prove that someone else has now taken over the ownership of the house. A suggestion was made here that they should call Sky and tell them he wants to cancel the sub because he has a broken Dodgybox and can no longer view the service and can't afford a replacement, and that Sky will offer to repair the receiver for free. I cannot vouch for this though.

Yes but the circumstance he is in means that his agent should be fully aware of everything possible that is needed.

You must have it connected for the first twelve months. After that you are supposed to give SKy 30 days notice if you want to disconnect the phone line. However as the box is yours by this point and I have never heard of anyone being billed by Sky for the digibox subsidy after the year is up for breaking the phone line.

If Tony is about he should be able to tell you everything...
