If any of you out there have the Czech channels CT1, CT2 and TV3 tuned into other channels, you may have noticed that the latter is now shut down.

On it at this moment, is a test card and some writing, with the name Stanice O which is also on the EPG data.
It is all in Czech but it seems to indicate that on the 15th August and the 30th August something will be happening although what im not sure, possibly soft launch and full launch.

But it is interesting to note that if you check out the website that is listed on the test card, it again is all in Czech but , on one of the page it mentions the channels VIVA and MTV, and also in and around there somewhere is the word project.

    I think this could be
    A) A czech music channel or B) A channel that rebroadcasts VIVA and MTV, becasue after all TV3 never exactly had a huge budget and maybe they couldnt afford to make their own music channel and hope to make money off it, so they save costs by using other channels.

This could be cool as people with free to air decoded could then view some of that programming anyway it is all hypothetical, but i cant wait to see what will come on there.

I expect that the refraction of light by water would cause the loss of uplink signal.

For some reason I haven't been able to receive any channels from the Czech transponder for about the last six weeks now, when I used to get them in good weather. Heck even when they were on the lower powered F2IV satellite which was there before Eurobird I could get them!

I've also noticed that my Setanta Sports preview feed is also full of blocks from a weak signal, and also on an Arabic Channel which isn't on the EPG (can't remember it's name, it's from Dubai) but most of the others are OK. Wonder why? We had some painters here areound a few weeks ago - I hope they didn't knock the dish

TV3 is gone for some time now. Dunno what kind of channel Stanice O will be like. Can't get my hands on a decent czech-english translator! :(

Dobry den as they say. Its easy, didnt they teach you czech in school?
they are launching a Czech and Slovak music channel.Im not in front of the testcard but I remember the gist of it. It will be full of dodgy folk music no doubt but should be good crack.

    Dovedenia etc/..

Same problem as myself Mossy. I heard rumours that the beam which the Czech channels were on had been manually moved to provide better reception in Central Europe at the expense of those who managed to get fringe reception in the UK & Ireland.
