Sat Position Problems

I have an RSD digital receiver/positioner model ODM300 and a Cryptik Diseq 1.2 positioner. In theory they talk to each other. but neither seem to speak the same language or else they just don't listen!

When I change to a channel on a different sat the dish moves alright but to not the position I tried to put in memory. There seems to be a consistancy in the movement but I can make no sense of it. The RSD site is of little use.

Can anybody out there offer any suggestions?

Its my understanding that the 300 is preprogrammed with DiseqC 1.0/1 which ìs of no use to a cryptik 1.2 mount.
In the interest of convenience, RSD dont manufacture or even offer any downloads for the reciever.

I have honestly given 30 minutes thrasing google looking for the DiseqC upgrade but i just can get it man..fuk!

If the STB has a built in positioner and you are using this then its a 36V one and the cryptic mount (only uses 18V) will work to a certain degree (rotate too quickly, overheat and burnout).[edit:and i would be amazed to see how you connected it]

This page might come in useful:

    I will keep on going.
The one advantage for DieqC 1.1 is that you can build yourself a 40+ dish farm, if you are inclined that way.
