I know we have had the best music video ever around about 20 times, and we all know its november rain. But have we had the worst video ever (hopefully not), for me it has to be money for nothing-dire straights

Clearly none of you have ever seen the video to Gabiriel Byrnes only single. Its so indescribably bad that i have forgoten the name of the track. In fact it may not even be him.
It features him , in shades and 'cool' car (some sort of mazda), puttin da moves on some big haired 80's victim.

The laughable thing about it is one of the 'singers' admited they spent somewhere in the region of stg500,000 on the three minute visual feast.

Thanks for reminding me. I forgot that bloody song even existed. I remember the days when that song was incredibly popular. I hated it, and it wouldn't get the **** out of my head. I was psychologically breaking down. My brother and sister liked it, school friends liked it, the radio liked it. God it was everywhere.

For the past 4 years it had stayed out of my head....but now thanks to you, it has come back! The walls are closing in!

Anyway. My choice for worst video is...Damn it! I can't think hard enough because of that damn song in my head! Argh fuuck it! Blue by whatever fuucking assholes did it.

besides that i'd go for rick astley - never gonna give you up (or the follow up single).. whichever one had horrible blue jeans in them.

i always detested Wham! videos.. especially Last Christmas (jesus man just throw a snowball and get over it)..

As far as Dire Straits' Money For Nothing goes it was really one of the earliest videos with computer graphics I can recall, and can actually remember going "thats cool" the first time i seen it. But sure even early 90s dance videos with cutting edge CG look ****e now.

theres so many, i hate those videos where bands are just playing their song...in a studio or something....like the strokes - last nite....or even worse...ya know those videos they take from shows like the late late shows....talk about squeezing every penny....i think six have one out now and thats it...jus them 'singing' for the late late show...how cheap...they know its gonna do well and therefore its a hundred per cent coverage coz theres no production costs or nothin...bums!!!

I actually thought the I Can't Dance video was quite funny. The amount of Levi jeans commercials that were rapidly spawing around that time frame (even worse, the songs were getting re-released as a result. Even before the 90s it was bad, the model for one of the commercials, Nick Kamen, even got a record deal!), so it was good to see Phil Collins rip the piss out of all those crud commercials.

My vote goes to any Underworld video from the early 90s. For the braindead and e-poppers it would have been their day. But all they entailed were black and white screens with lines and words on them. Utter crap!
