Weird Modem

    I was using a system todat with W2k on it there was a modem installed and a dial up setup everytime I went to dial I got a a no dial tone message. I have tested the line with a phone and its fine also I have changed the line from the modem to the socket,

    I uninstalled the modem and reinstalled it in a different PCI slot. .. Again no dial tone,

    I have installed a new modem and is working fine, I have tested the other modem in my home system and it is working fine.

    Any ideas ??? to what is happeening???? I must say its a weird one
