Wireless & rented accom

    If any of the committee are talking to people, can you keep in mind that a lot of 20 and 30 somethings (actually any somethings these days) live in rented accom. And the majority of them can't go sticking aerials or satellite dishes on a roof for wireless access. Yes I hear you say "it's the best we can do", I just wouldn't want it thought that wireless/satellite broadband is a panacea to bring broadband to all the masses.

    Particulary frustrating is the pieces of string Eircom picked up second hand from Alexander Graham Bell's laboratory that they used for wiring up half the estates in Ireland. "I'm sorry, I realise your house was built only about 10 years ago, but your copper isn't of sufficient quality for adsl".
