Anyone here like family guy ?

sky1 just started showing it again on sundays @ 5 and I think they repeat them during the week too i'm not too sure when they do though.

It has to be the best animated comedy ever, beating the simpsons, futurama, southpark, king of the hill ... the lot of them, it owns them all.

Its a good show but its not even in the same league as those show's listed above in all fairness.

I'd disagree. The show seems to be something that either people hate/don't get or else they love it.
It's alot more subtle than South Park, and they don't base everything (more or less) on one character like they do in the Simpsons, as for King of the Hill I don't really watch it, so I won't comment.
Sky shouldn't be showing it in the evening anyway, it's not aimed at kids at all. They should put it on later and leave out the cuts.

just while we're on the subject of animations..

anyone else watch Home Videos on Cartoon Network?
Bloody hell its totally messed up, and absolutely hilarious at times, great watching for the more sarcastic cynical kid in you... easily the best thing on that channel at the mo (dexters lab has changed animators/directors and is crappy now)

yeah i've watched cartoon network a few times and well... it can be quite scary / psychedelic if you're under any the influence of anything.

Family Guy is so teh w1n.

It has so many excellent moments.

Like the one where Peter gets into a fight with a guy in a chicken costume. lol, I've never laughed so hard at anything my my life. It's writers are geniuses.

Family Guy and Southpark are my favourite shows on tv.

...does that make me a bad person(tm)?

    :)

I have to agree it's one of the best shows around.

Luctus: I loved that Scene too it's so violent.
The way when he was remembering it, It was a real chicken he was fighting.
    LMFAO

    Hate South Park Though. :-/

On the subject of Family Guy, I ordered this on the 13th(has'nt arrived yet btw)

    http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=search&adudisc=y

Is it true that it has a lot of uncut stuff? If so, how funny is the uncut version compared to a sky one version.

    P.S. Play.com are the slowest deliveries EVAER!!!1!1!!

Actually I've found play to be quite prompt with their deliveries.

As for Family Guy, I love the bit in one episode (cant remember which episode), where Peter is running home and he trips and falls and sits there for about a minute or more just rocking back and forth going "oww", bloody hilarious. :D

If you ordered it on the 13th and it hasn't arrived (assuming it was in stock when you ordered it) it may have been lost in the post - worth giving them a ring as they're usually quick to send out another one. I ordered Run Lola Run last week and had it in two days.

I see it's out of stock at the moment

Check your purchase history and see when (if) it was sent.

hehe yeah that episode where he goes to the willy wonka take off beer factory is a great one.

yeah there's a lot of uncut stuff from family guy on the dvd, sky1 rip it to shreds :/

here's an example of some of the stuff cut from recent episodes on sky1 (the **** in brackets is cut stuff) :

Tom : They migrate north every autumn to see the foliage. [And I think I speak for all of us when I say that New York and everyone from there can fornicate themselves with an iron stick.]

    __________________________

Lois : I'm really cuttin' loose, [just like Julie Andrews in the movie where she showed her breasts.

(Cut to movie clip. A posh English boy and a posh English girl are sitting on a bed, in their posh bedroom.)

Boy : Oh Mary, you'll never leave us will you?

(Reveal to show Mary Poppins, from above and behind. She undoes her blouse and gives the kids a flash of the good stuff.)

    ______________________________

10.43 Peter is trying to cause trouble in the Drunken Clam. [He approaches a man slumped over the bar.
Peter : Excuse me, New Yorker. I think you're in my seat, and I had sex with your mother last night.
Lois : Peter, are you crazy?

New Yorker : What did you say?

Peter : Oh, about the seat? Or about my ploughin' your father's wife?

(The New Yorker is about to punch Peter, when Lois intervenes, smashing him out of the way.)

Lois : What the hell are you doing?

(Peter wanders over to another New Yorker.)]
