I quite like Lisa, she's funny in her own way.

I couldn't pick a "worst character" from the simpsons, I like them all.

Lisa's great, and Frink had one of the funniest moments in recent episodes when he managed to quiet a roomfull of bickering scientists by shouting "Pi is exactly 3!". Marvin Monroe wasn't very good alright, but he's not in it anymore.

It's hard to think of a bad character, at least a bad regular one. Ralph can be pretty unfunny sometimes, and Marge has become annoying but only because the writers have changed her character in that way - she used to be a lot more interesting.

In fact, the most annoying, predictable and headache-inducing character in recent series has probably been ... Homer. He's not the dumb-but-basically-decent person he used to be - now he's a borderline psychotic who spends most of each episode screaming in some way and pissing other people off.

Its that guy who is really insecure and has all the sh1t jobs that never go right. Earl or earb or something....GILL yeh thats it. He is simply not funny and in the show way too often. I agree with Shotamoose there on the Homer point aswell. He sucks as of late. In fact the show as a whole does. There used to be a load of plots in each episode that got a load of characters involved but now its just "Homer does something stupid with either Bart or Lisa" fiddldy dee. I'm glad Groening stopped Futurama before it went down the spout like the Simpsons.

The Simpsons tried to be too much like "THE FAMILY GUY", tried but failed. I admit the simpsons was good but should have ended years ago....shame huh?

I think he's based on a character out of the play/film "Glengarry Glen Ross", about the cut-throat world of real-estate. In the film, Jack Lemmon plays the one (I think) they're parodying (sp) in the Simpsons.

Anyways I dont thnk there is any particular character who needs to be gotten rid of-even the annoying characters usually add a bridge to a comic moment if you know what i mean.Marge mightnt say much funny stuff but if she wasnt there Homer wouldnbt be able to tell her anything stupid if you know what i mean.Confusing I know...........
I suppose the Reverand Lovejoys wife isnt a good character and so can be got rid of.
But Professor Frink is class!

Yes, Homer annoys me the most. When the simpsons was at it's peak Homer was god and most of the laughs per episode could be attributed to him. Now he's been dumbed down beyond the point of no return and it's almost embarrasing (if such a thing was possible) to watch him on the show anymore. Every 'joke' he is involved in these is usually met by me with a brief sigh, followed by nostalgia to the time when simpsons was good, followed by a heartfelt prayer to Matt Groening that he will kill off this show while we can still remember back to the time when it was the greatest thing on television.....

Denis Leary : "Elvis Presley should have been shot in the head back in 1957. Glen Garry Ross is a fantastic film. Definately one to set the video for.

People always whine and moan that the new episodes suck and their crap but their just cynics. Its just a fact that new episodes are always dissapointing: its on repeat viewings that you really notice all the details and subtler moments.

They fire all the writers and get in new ones every 6 months. the ideas are as fresh as they ever were.

Have they cancelled Family Guy? I was really getting into that show..

Futurama has definately run its course. I'm happy its finished.

I'll ignore the blasphemous talk about homer, Marge is just plain terrible, she serves a purpose tho, juxtaposition etc., i personally have to admit that I am disturbed anytime the writers try to involve her in any major comical way. The show should have

family guy is much better than it lately, in terms of laughs its much more "dense", but then i am after spending a significant
portion of the last weekend watching series one on dvd. I've personally been finding Futurama more entertaining lately.

Marge is just terrible, Lois, Leela and Faye Valentine are all much better
