    What's the app called that you can run from "Start -> Run -> ...." where you can edit programs that are run on startup etc etc...

    Any ideas? I think its quite well-known.

    you could always get 'Advanced Starup Manager'. Version 3 is best. Its an excellent little program, does exactly whats its told.

    Learn how to change those settings in the registry. DON'T do it unless you have a good idea what you're doing.

    msconfig is VERY useful for detecting that bitch virus KLEZ [files show up as WINK in the startup]
