    Is the pope Catholic?

    Is Luxembourg small?

Do bears poop in the woods?

Did Rose Kennedy own a black dress?

Humphreys is by far the better player. With the boot and in open play.

Humphries has self destructed many times for Ireland. One thing being missed by everyone is the BALL. That yellow piece of ****. In case anyone has a memory, they wil realise O Gara kicks quite well with the standard ball. Remember last gasp conversion against Saracens and others. I agree he should have been taken off but to drop him completely would be a mistake. Ireland nowmally play with the Gilbert ball. O Gara kicks that one quite well.

O Gara cost Munster two european cups with his piss poor kicking.
He's good on the ball and brave in the tackle, but his job is to kick it between the posts, and at international level every kick counts.

Trouble with Humphries he can be both brilliant and useless depending on what mood he's in.

thats like saying Kahn cost Germany the world cup. hes scored plenty of pressure kicks for Munster. To blame the kicker for losing the match over one missed kick is disgraceful. I would have more of an issue with Crotty's decision making at times at full back.

To blame the kicker for losing the match over one missed kick is disgraceful.

Where you watching the same match he missed three or four kickable penalties which lead to munster haveing to resort to looking for a scrum near the end when a penalty would have won it for them.

While OGara did miss a few Stimpson did miss a couple of handy kicks also so they evened each other out. Crotty was at fault for a try but Leicester were the better team on the day.

Two years ago though is a different story. Munster were the better team and OGara missed a straightforward conversion and also a penalty at the end which he should have put over.

IMO thats what sets the great players apart from the good players. You would never see Andrew Mehrtens miss any of those chances whereas even the "great" Jonny Wilkinson bottled it on the Lions tour last summer.

but what about the castre game???
o gara played very well and in my opinion won us the game giving us the opportunity to have a shot at the cup final so maybe lay off him for a while.
You must remember that the final loss is probably still fresh in his mind

I was trying to explain the difference between a good player and a great player. I would still play OGara every time before Humphries for Ireland though.

What good is it for OGara to play well in the semi and then crack in the final. He hasnt had the best of seasons in general. His performances before Xmas left a lot to be desired and if he wants to confirm his position as no.1 outhalf for Ireland and also win a Celtic league or European cup he will just have to improve the consistency of his performances.

Steve Staunton is pretty good from dead ball. and he can fairly hood it into open space. Maybe we should give him a go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
