Do breakup songs count as romantic? In that case:
Still In Love With You by Thin Lizzy

Sorry, I don't get the whole romance thing

 forgot Nightswimming by REM... well its more 'moving' than 'romantic' but blah

Also probably the Fairytale of New York, just because 2 partners calling each other fagg0t and s!ut and gettin back together... thats true romance ;) also any relationship with Shane MacGowan would have to be romantic cuz it sure ain't based on looks :p

Ummm, Sven? I have to disagree with quite a few of those titles, although primary on the list would be:
Radiohead - Exit Music For A Film
What planet are you on? In a list of depressing songs that would be right at the top of my list, but romantic...?

I should probably point out that most of my romances are either failed or never happened. So I've become quite cynical and bitter and depressed about the whole thing. Possibly because as a romantic i tend to take things more seriously in that regard...

Oh and Exit Music... "We hope that you choke that you choke"... I'm sure I've had that thought at me on occasion right? Usually by women I'm hitting on.

And it does have a somewhat romantic overtone too... the two escaping... love that's not agreed with by the father... alone together with nowhere to go... making it on their own and failing (there's such a chill such a chill). Also the whole thing of trying to keep her (i'm guessing) hanging on to the relationship fading into bitterness...

    My life...

Medellia of The Grey Skies - Smashing Pumpkins
    Landslide - Smashing Pumpkins version.

    Nothing Compares 2 You - Sinead O'Connor

Waterloo Sunset - The version Ray Davies did with Damon Albarn on the White Room years ago.
God Only Knows - Beach Boys

We Got Tonight - Bob Seger
Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division
Lets Get It On - Marvin Gaye
    Still - The Commodores
Stay With Me Till Dawn - Judie Tzuke
    Crazy- Patsy Cline
It Must Be Love - Madness
    All I Want Is You - U2
    Without You - Harry Nilsson
    Loving You - Minnie Ripperton

At the risk of upsetting the original poster, 'In My Life' and 'Strawberry Fields Forever' are two completely different songs. 'In My Life' is an album track from Rubber Soul - and very good it is too - and 'Strawberry Fields Forever' was originally released as double A-sided single (coupled with 'Penny Lane') in late 66/early 67.

There you go. I'm not only slushy, but pedantic and boring into the bargain.
