i must admit i did get drawn into the whole nasty nick phenomenon of the first show.But tbh i couldnt be assed to care about the second big brother and as for the third series well i cant even muster the energy to act indignant about it.Hopefully the format is on the way out as it saturates virtually every medium over here tv,press and radio.As an excercise in allowing lazy radio djs and tabloid hacks to fill acres of space with not very intresting anecdotes about wether spencer washes his feet properly or not.
Jean Paul Satre once wrote his vision of Hell was spending eternity in a room with his friends,Clearly the prospect of spending eternity in a room with big brother contestents never occured to him.
I think it speaks volumes that the most meaningful relationship that a contestatant struck up within the house was with a chicken named dierrdree.

I watched the 2nd half of the 2nd series and have to say that I did enjoy it, although some of the house-mates were extremely annoying. I watched only 1 episode of the new series so far which was last nights live episode where the housemates were divided into rich house/poor house. It was painfully boring, watching paint dry would be more fun without exaggeration. I'll watch another episode next week that isn't live, it might have something interesting in it and then I'll decide whether it's worth watching. But so far the housemates look like a bunch of boring colourless losrs.

i have to say i didn't really bother watching this series much but i watched it last night when they put up the big bars. its getting more interesting. all we need is a few killer dogs or a couple of deadly snakes and spiders and it will be worth while watching

Well BB3 is alright sometimes. It has it moments, but for the most part its pretty s**t. As regards the people who watch them sleeping, thats kind of wierd, go get help!

Personally, I think locking 12/13 toltally different people in a house for weeks on end is a good idea.

You get all the bitching, backstabbing, fighting, annoying habits that you would get (and more) from living in a shared house, without the cleaning up (and you can shut the housemates up, something you can't do to real ones...well not without a hammer and an assualt charge)

Just look at the highlights, the live coverage is a certain cure for insomnia though

It really is sad admit it.I dunno whether most of the viewers are staying up 24/7 on E4 to see any shagging that is a very distant prospect or are you jut thrilled at the site of people drinking beer from the bottle and slurring on about their past.On the digitalspy forum it has reached a very macarbe stage.They have a BB3 forum and there are people there who are on every minute of the day posting new threads along the lines of"X has just mentioned his girlfriend.Wow!Whats this going to do given his growing attraction to X?"Fluckin hell who cares!If there were any riding you can be sure E4 would shred it to the quality of Men and Motors channel courtesy of the 15 minute time delay.
And how can they keep watching with the inmates mics always giving a bad sound?I was savaged for calling BB3 fans sad as i had asked for help with a GTA3 level.GTA is compelling,unputdownable,addictive.BB3 is a group of frigid **** feeding their chickens and drinking beer all day.

2) Put electric eels in the swimming pool
3) Insted of eviction try execution
4) Get people to break into the house.... distroy it and make all of the people live in tents

then two weeks later, I am unexplicably compelled to watch it all the time.

I think its a shame Alison is gone, she seemed the most fun out of all of them, id have loved to see how she would cope being on the poor side and not having any food

Yeah, you'd think that Koneko, I realise that it is quite a load of rubbish, but there's something compelling about it at the same time. I think it's appeal is something similar to a soap, but it's real people so that gives it an edge.

And it's on at 10 o clock, what else is on at 10 o clock in the evening during the summer months? There's not much else on full stop . It's also interesting to see how they react to the situation and interact with each other, for me anyway, you can see different feelings develop more easily in a closed environment like that where they're essentially cut off from the rest of the world.

I do think some people never give it a chance because of the way the tabloids in particular "promote" it. The image that surrounds it, and people who watch it, is one that definately discouraged me from giving it a chance.
