I know there has already been other posts but after reading todays papers it may change you opinion. Was Mick right to send him home? Keane did say a lot of things he shouldnt have.

    Was Mick right?

I haven't always been the greatest admirer of McCarthy as a manager, but I would back him totally in this. I thought the first row was a farce and thought Keane should have been sent home over that, Keane decides hours before the registration deadline he's not sure if he wants to play or not?
Then the whole slagging match, even with the most extreme provocation (which I don't believe there was), Keane knows you do not speak to a manager in that way.
I think Matt Holland's quote is the best and sums this all up saying that Roy lives in his own little world where everyone is wrong but him, anyone seeing an influence of a certain Man U manager??
I think some of the criticism for Mick McCarthy is disgraceful too, as I said I haven't always been his number 1 fan, but everyone has to recognize he got Ireland to the World Cup from a tremendously tough group.
I think the time is right to get behind Mick McCarthy and the 22 true professionals who will still do us proud.
