Fùck me, we won a game without Keane!!! Some people have gone all quiet. Anyway, good to see the Real Keane doing the business, two goals this morning, and we are looking good. One goal down, and a Roy keaneless comeback! It proved a very small point, although obviously its not got much relevance as far as the group games are concerned.
Any win is a good win though, here's to a win against Cameroon!

    You forgot something

McAteer was taken to hospital for a scan after a reckless tackle by a Cameroon cu*nt during Ireland's 2-1 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

McCarthy condemned the 35th-minute tackle but he is hoping for that McAteer will recover in time for their opening clash against Cameroon

    2 players down

    Other players:
Steven Finnan ( Ankle), Kenny Cunningham ( hamstring), Lee Carsley ( Thigh ), Gary Breen ( neck )....

    6 players down?

I did forget to mention the McAteer injury alright, its not too serious though from what I have heard. I wouldn't be too worried if he is out for the first game though, I reckon he has more of a job to play in the Germany game than anything else.

    yeh good win

from what I saw Steven Reid seemed to have played well he was getting alot of decent crosses into the box and Niall Quinn did well when he came on

    Pfffft,

The ref was a complete and utter biast twat.....

The defending as usual was woeful ireland seem to have the same problems as Man u we always give away stupid goals through blatent neglegence of surroundings, Cameroon are going to run circles around our defence as will Germany, were screwed i say we might get by the first round but were out immediatly afterwards.

/me puts away his irish passport and takes out his French one

    Alles les blues

We beat hiroshima after going a goal down to them? Well thats all our doubts about Irelands ability to compete in the world cup answered then.

Seriously though the result seems more embarrassing than anything else. If its 2-1 against these guys the scoreline can only be horrendous against Cameroon.

The Carlsey and Breen injuries could be blessings in disguise.

Hiroshima are a locla side? probably about the same level as lower english division teams?

Relax, these results dont have any bearing on the performance we will see in the World Cup.

Case in point, England drew 1-1 with S.Korea and Sweden drew 1-1 with Japan.

which means England are Sweden aren't top teams. they went out and played their games and couldn't beat them but the real tests begin next week. well done to Robbie Keane :)

jesus since Roy Keane has left why is that so many Irish people have turned into complete and utter twats ?

All this crap about we're defintley going out in the first round or we're gonna get thrashed by Cameroon, its gonna be bloody hilarious when we end up getting through that group just to imagine all of you immediately changing face and cheering on like you were always 100% behind them

i am 100% behind the Irish team but that doesnt mean that i cant be realistic when i believe we wont get throught without a minor miracle.

    ??

What are you talking about S.Korea , Japan?

These teams are playing at home with
The support of their home fans and home crowd.
They can enjoy playing on their home pitch/stadium.
Relax with the country's climate, weather, food....

S.Korea will have more of a chance to qualify than England, and Japan will possibly have a better chance than Sweden, because home teams always do well.

    USA done excellent in USA94'
    France won in France98'
    Mexico played excellent in Mexico86'.......
    ......

Most likely result: S.Korea will qualify.

If there's somethng that comics have taught me, it's that lots of radiation creates superpowers in normal people.

Hence a 2-1 win against Hiroshima seems respectable enough.
