Ok I think McCarthy has done the right thing by sending Keane home, Keane was a distruptive element to the team.
    Roy said:
"Who the f*** do you think you are having meetings about me? You were a cr*p player and you are cr@p manager..."
It was on TV last night....

    1 player down

Republic of Ireland boss Mick McCarthy is hoping that a scan on Jason McAteer's injured knee reveals nothing more than bruising.
McAteer was taken to hospital for a scan after a reckless tackle by a Cameroon cu*nt during Ireland's 2-1 win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

McCarthy condemned the 35th-minute tackle but he is hoping for that McAteer will recover in time for their opening clash against Cameroon

    2 players down

    Other players:
Steven Finnan ( Ankle), Kenny Cunningham ( hamstring), Lee Carsley ( Thigh ), Gary Breen ( neck )....

    6 players down?

Do people not remember Stuttgart, Rome, Cagliari, Gelsenkirchen etc etc. I can't believe people forget just how valuable a player to us McCarthy was when he played? He did a fine job marking some of the best players in the world in Euro 88 and Italia 90. Keane has now played in less major Cahmionships than McCarthy. Prick.

Let's just agree that McCarthy was a better player than a manager! I always had faith in him up to this event (even through the two campains we didn't qualify for). But now he's demonstrated he can't control the players he's been given I don't really want him around any more. I hope he stands down/gets sacked after this tournement.

Irish soccer team is not f*cked, yet!

    but

    Germans
Who cares, I'm happy Ireland doesn't have the same hatred and hooliganism against the Germans that the English have.

Germany however may do Ireland a favour by f*cking up against Cameroon & Saudi Arabia.

China may suprise a few by coming second place in their Group, having to play in Korea is almost like playing at home.

mccarthey has done to the irish team what noonan has done to fine gael - .....

mccarthey should apologise for springing that public humiliation / meeting on keane for his comments about a rubbish training ground in a newspaper...was he the captain or what?

I would have spoken in much stronger language to mccarthey but hey I am from cork and we have balls and backbone
