    ...but is in fact really really great: Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
    Reminded me alot of Catch-22 especially the early parts, the same devil may care insanity in the fact of war.

    It was worth reading alone for the bits about Greek Partisans.

    Agreed. I thought the book was superior to the movie in many ways. Never got to finish it unfortunately.
