I couldnt believe my ears when Ch4 said it was on last night (i dont read the tv guide!) screw studying, i saw the first one years ago and it was fuppin class horror film and RING 2 although doesnt match the original still has its moments.....

in fact RING 2 ranks 2nd in my all time fav horror films after RING....

If you havent seen any of them go now, and buy it online.....

its so good that the fact its in subtitles doesnt detract any of the horror seen.....

i hope some of ye out there have seen it....

Ring 1 and Ring 2 are my favourite horror films too! saw them on filmfour freeview last november and immediately went out and bought them on DVD. I suggest not buying Ring 0 (third in series) tho as unfortunately its a pile of poo.

2 other movies I suggest everyone to see or buy are Battle Royale and Audition.

RasTa, its a completly different horror that you will ever see, not to shock, you but to give you the nasties set of the willies you've ever had

And videotape is probably the best way to see it ;)

Ring 2 lacks the "suspense" and weirdness Ring had. It's a good film, but I wouldn't place it number 2 in my fave Japanese films list :)

Mmmm, Odishon. Did anyone else catch Tales of the Unusual? Bit strange, some of the stories were kinda interesting too. One story (with the plane crash in the snow) reminded me a bit of Ring.

I rented ring on DVD, it was good, but wasn't scary as hell.

I thought Ring was a great movie, one of the more original horror films going. I didn't think much of Ring 2, the should have just left it at the one imo.

    Audition...*shudder* (in a good way)

I agree with Mr Grimes, Ring 2's not in the same league as the first one. The only moment that freaked me out in the 2nd one is the bit where the video editing machine keeps sticking on yer wan shaking her head.... but that's probably just because it was the same kind of editing machine I used in college.

Ring was the first horror film to truly scare me in years, but my boyfriend didn't find it scary at all. Despite the subject matter with the tapes etc., the big screen is still the best way to see it. They showed them both one after another in the IFC last year.

    Ring 2 was terrible!

I enjoyed the first film, but I thought 2 was dreadful.

I saw them both, and I have to say I preferred the second one. The first one was ruined by that tosser beforehand ruining the ending. If I ever meet that guy, I'm going to punch him in the face.
