Just been to see Dog Soldiers in the cinema.

Guess what? Its one of the best horror films I've seen in a long time. Gory, very funny, and a few unexpected jumps to keep you on your toes.

One film it really reminded me of was Evil Dead 2. And thats a good thing.

    Anyone else seen it ??

Yep, I just saw it today.
    And you know what?
    *EXACTLY* my sentiments!

The sick humor, the low budget, the real frights, the disgusting gore sequences! EVIL DEAD 2 WITH WEREWOLVES!

Not saying it's an Evil Dead rip-off though, don't get me wrong.
But it has all the best elements of the film, including being very original.

It gets my personal thumbs up!

Well I wasn't going to bother, but if it's like Evil Dead then it's definitely worth a looksee.

God, I'm about to agree with Angelwhore....

Dog Soldiers rocks. Yes, it's low budget, the special effects are terrible... But it's well directed, surprisingly frightening in places, very gory, and most importantly of all; it has some of the most cracking dialogue I've heard in a film in years. Laugh out loud funny, full of one-liners you desperately try to remember so you can use them in the pub later, and one of the most genuinely entertaining films of the year.

    Go see.
