OK, I know the forum say's Digital Satellite but I have a question about my old analogue system. At the moment it is of no use to me as I can only get all those german/italian channels that I don't want. Since channel 5 went at the end of last year it has been like a relic in the room! What is the best thing to do with this?(Apart from throw it out!) If I reposition the dish can I pick up any English speaking channels? If so how do I do this?

    Cheers,
    Mark.

if you dont have any idea how to start moving the dish then dont.. get someone to do it like tony here on the boards (www.satellite.ie).

You can get him to stick a universal digital lnb on it and you can get FTA digital channels.. or move it to 19.2 east and get EOL sat internet www.europeonline.com

The old analogue dishes are already on 19.2 - he doesn't have to bother moving it if he wants to sign up to europeonline and away you go.

I assume he will still need to change the LNB to a universal digital one though... dont know if thats an easy job.. probably easier than pointing the dish though!

I know what your saying about europeonline but at the moment it does not do much for me. Also all i'd be using for this setup is the dish! If I reposition the dish with the existing LNB can I get any English FTA channels?

Is there any good FTA sport channels on 19.2? I am using a philips analog system until I get my EON DVB card but all I see there is Eurosport and DSF. I'm hoping digital would have more on offer?

Sorry for bringing this a bit OT but I have a LNB splitter (where one leg controls and powers the LNB) and the other leg just makes do with whatever way the LNB is. I was thinking of connecting the control leg to the DVB card for EON. What channels can the analog receiver can pick up whilst the LNB is swithched to accomodate EON?

    TIA
