Just Seen a Pace DTVA Box but not for purchase...

Just been at Currys Bangor and seen a Pace DTVA Box. Like the design - would say it's about the same size as two video casettes - it's tiny! Spoke to a salesperson who told me they weren't for purchase as they don't have any in stock and anyway as ITVD went bust it wouldn't be worth it.
So they turned a potential customer away...
Anyone else seen one and found a shop actually willing to sell them - did see them in an Argos flier in Sunday papers yesterday so maybe they're willing to sell. By the sounds of things in another forum site Comet are selling boxes across the water so they must be sold somewhere but where?

A FTA box worthless because of the demise of a service it wouldn't be able to decrypt anyway, hmm.
Currys/Dixons seem to excell in the ignorant staff department, I recall a conversation I had explaining the difference between widescreen and flatscreen tvs to a salesperson.

If you have difficulty finding one locally Pace sell them direct for £130 from their website http://www.pace.co.uk/home/main.asp

Other FTA boxes are also available, I know Nokia do one also.

They might not know much about them but Argos were quite willing to sell me one. They had to get it from Newry as te computers showed one in stock which they couldn't find. Quite why they sent one to newry when there are only isolated places on top of hills down there that are supposed to get the signal is anyone's guess. Signal strength sits on anywhere between 72-81%. BBC mux most stable signal strength on the meter, SDN good, C3/4 mux seems to have less - have seen it down in high sixties on it. I'm only about 14 miles from Divis tx as the crow flies.
BBC Parliament - the audio tends to fade in and out, yet strength meter shows strong and no bit errors.
I must say i like the size. It can get quite warm if used for a long time.
