Accessing UK and Irish EPGs simultaneously

I can access the UK and Irish EPGs simultaneously (with a multi head LNB, 2 video cards etc).
But one little problem drives me up the wall. I use both an Amstrad and a Sky digibox. Both use the same remote protocol. So when I change channels on one box, the other changes at the same time.
The best I can do is to position them at different angles, and go from one side of the room to the other to change channels. I find this annoyng.

Do the other boxes that receive (I've seen Sony, Panasonic models etc advertsied) all use the same Sky remote with the same protocol? Any other way of getting around this before I find myself in TV nirvana?

The only box that has different remote codes is the Sky + box which is not available here yet (it will be launched sometime this year AFAIK) you can get them anyway if you're that bothered, I've seen a few on ebay recently, not cheap though and until the service is launched here the recording functions (which cost £10 a month in the UK) won't be available.

The only cheap solution is to block one box at a time. In a cupboard or put something infront of it, switching around to control the other.

If you can get one of those remote control extender things with a sky digital compatible radio remote controller the reciever unit could be positioned to control one digibox and the regular remote for the other. I think One for all make one of these for about €50.

I'm using the one for all extender, with the second digibox in another room-just plugging out the transmitter solves the problem if I don't want to change channels on the other box.
