    right, i'm planning on buying a new computer over the coming months, bit by bit and putting it together myself. i was just wondering if anyone knows where i can hook myself up with cheap parts on the internet, and what I should be looking at. i've seen the irish site's (marx computers, itdirect) but i was wondering if there are any others out there. i'm lookin at a budget of about £1500 or so.

    bo.

    Well, the main UK people are;

    http://www.scan.co.uk

    http://www.dabs.co.uk

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk

    No other decent Irish sites anyway...

    The likes of Marx will order in bits and pieces if they don't have it in stock however.

    Some of the retailers aren't too bad either, www.peats.ie, they have a shop on Parnell St. PC World aren't the best but the odd time you'll get a decent price, Maplin are okay, and there's a few other smaller places around that also do some Sales.

    Get your yellow pages out!
