anbody encountered crazy esat mobile connections recently?

I've a mate who has an esat mobile, and he has had a problem with completely distorted audio the last couple of days.

It sounds like someone is playing a xylophone with a modem. You can't hear him at all when it kicks in. It's intermittent.

Esat claim nothing is wrong.

Anybody had similar difficulties?

nope mine works fine, but a few weeks ago it did hav an '!' beside IRL for a while!!! came up !IRL DIGIFONE, seems fine now!

YES I'm having problems with the Esat digifone network? Over the last 2 week I've
been getting calls and I can hear the caller but they can't hear me. I'm
getting reports of modem noises at the other end. Esat are denying this
problem but I've heard dealers complaining of customers numbering in the
hundreds with the same problem. They gave me the usual, "check your phone" but I've tried 4 phone now and all work fine but the problem seems to be the same. Anyone here have similar issues?

Yeah, as paulj13 said - I can hear them but they can't hear me.

Same response "check your phone" I did and it's fine, it's their fault but as we have seen from the SNL episode, ESAT won't take the blame for anything, it's ALWAYS the customer's fault.....rant rant........

yup. me too. two calls today could not hear me, even though signal was max'd.
Also experiencing some mix ups with duplicate numbers or something.
i made a call to a friend the other day, and got an answering machine for a
head-shrink in dublin - twice. Not a typo error, since the number was stored.

Yup I'm getting constant problems aswell, person I'm calling can't hear me, massive line noise, intermittent distortion all while signal is maxed. Esat are sucking up the joint!

actually now that i think about it i do get alot of feedback on the line, hear myself talkin ... very annoying!
