Box Office Problem

    Hello,
I am a newbie to this site and any assistance would be appreciated. I am having a problem booking box office movie from my digibox. In System Settings the menu confirms that the phone line is connected but when i try to book a movie the online light comes on for a couple of seconds and then goes out and i am told to phone a number in the UK. My digibox was purchased in the UK so i thought the problem may lie in the software trying to phone a British number and asked Sky. They told me to preform a new installation using the hidden "01Select" menu which didn't work I have been on to Sky on numerous occasions but they don't seem to know how a digibox should be setup in Ireland. They then said there was a fault in the modem but when i used another digibox (purchased in N.I.) the same problem occurred.

    Any suggestion??

    *cough* 4 0 1 Select *cough*.

    Try that.
    :)

If not, just order via the phone, but i think you can change the dialout in the "Installers Menu".

Yeah sorry about that, 4 0 1 Select menu.
Have had to resort to booking movies by phone but with the new features and services coming soon would like to be able to use the online facility.
Ive tried to change the prefix code in the installer menu but no joy. Presume that if the software is set to British the prefix wouldn't make a difference as it wouldn't remove the 0 before the area code. Is there any way i can check/change what country the digibox is set to?

You could try replacing the STB OS but as the viewing card is removed during this procedure, the box may not download irish specific settings.

Pull out the power cord for about 20 seconds and remove the viewing card.

Plug the cord back in, switch the box on and hold down "backup" and eventually after a short period of time the box will start updating the latest OS.

20 minutes later, it reboots and you replace the viewing card.

Its worth a shot, but you may be out of luck.
