    maybe now that were organised, how about some o' those maps.
    surly to god someone makes some.
    if i can ill stick some up soon.

    (as soon as i re-install op-flash tee hee hee!!)

    Yeah, I'll try and put together a pack of editing tools today and host it.
    Kinda busy, but i'll try.

    The great thing is that missions are very very small :)

    An idea would be to make a few multiplayer skirmishes first, to get used to balancing etc. before trying to make a full-blown mission.

    Oh, btw, OpFlash is currently up to version 1.46
    To get that you need to get hold of 1.20, 1.30, 1.46, they're about 30, 30 and 6 megs respectively, but are filled with stuff.

    true these upgrades add tonnes more vehicles, loads of new infantry units and some new missions.
    if you have op-flash, you need them.

    There are both 'maps' (islands) and 'missions' (stories i guess) in Flashpoint.
    The tools for making your own islands are being released at the moment afaik, but a few people have 'hacked' the supplied ones and changed textrues, friction values etc. and made some winter versions and jungles versions etc.
    Afaik, the Oxygen tools have to be applied for directly to Bohemia interactive, and they're quite advanced with little documentation.

    I'll have a look see for what can be dragged up......

    Seriously? Thats sweet! I've allways wanted to do the rural enviroment I live in a game. How large can the islands be..and do they have to be islands?

    No, they don't have to be islands afaik, and they're very large maps. Don't know what scale size (as in Km^2) but they're big. very big.
    The tools have to be applied for too atm, though there may be some 3rd party tools, not sure.

    The official tools, Oxygen, are extremely hard to get hold of. They're free afaik, but are very tightly controlled. You have to mail them a contract with your signature on it and are given regualr passwords to continue using it. it's being aimed at modding groups in particular.
