Compilation Cd - Final Result

Hello folks. Well here it is (so far), the votes are counted and who knows, maybe this list below could be a true reflection of a CD that may one day exist. There has been an extremely postitive response to the compilation idea. I dont think there's a 'Phantom board' member that has'nt contributed with a vote for their favorite Irish band/bands.

I do hold my reservations as to whether the 'phantom board' members vote truly represents the full diaspra of phantom listeners out there. It would appear to be an fair representation from our 'computer literate' community and I doubt it would change much if our poll went 'door to door' (flat to flat). (Some new acts I must admit do appear to be riding their first phantom wave and public votes are only a reflection of very recent airplay. but none the less, they have been voted for).

There has been another issue regarding band members signing in as different names and entering themselves. But if it's really agrovating somebody, they could contact a moderator from Boards.ie and find out if the suspect multiple entrant has the same fingerprint on each of his/her names. But the vote stands as it is unless someone executes such an investigation.

I personally would like to make this suggestion.
Each accomplished artist mentioned probably has a catalogue of material which no-one has yet heard, or was previously released as a B-side (or even played live in studio). Think about what might happen if each band submitted one to the compliation. have you heard that song from...." and all fingers would point in one direction.....The Phantom CD.

All the bands that recieved ONE vote each could fill a dictionary. but incase they recieve more votes below, there is a list (that almost broke my sanity) of all the one hit wonders which wont be forgotten about.

where would we be without it. It's such a crying shame that the whole country does'nt have it. A CD such as suggested would be a start. Think propoganda Phantoms...PROPOGANDA.
