Did you see what that k;!uNT did??? you sware twas an assasination???? That could cost Ipswich a Premierleague place.. it could be nasty for him going to Portman Rd for future ties and even if tractor boys relegate they could get them in the cup.. Though if the canaries come up he'l be a hero at Carrow road for rivalry reasons.. Mind you the east anglian derby doesnt boil over in the stands like any other. Perhaps coz of the little expectation in the teams from their great support at the same time..though aswell as anything great football is played in a Norwich/Ipswich tie.

Can Ipswich snatch prem'ship football for 02/03 from the deadly jaws of relegation?? 12 votes

Ah ... the aroma ... SOUR GRAPES ...

FFS the guys first season in English Football, first full season since his knee injury .. he's voted player of the year, is joint top scorer in the league, knocked in plenty of european goals and has gunned his team to the last 4 in Europe, and still in with a shout of the title at the start of may!

It begs the question what would he have to do to get your respect?

I'm not a ManU supporter as most of u will know, but credit where credit is mdue, the guys been a great buy!

As for a dive .. contact was made, he went down, and the ref gave a penalty.
If anything the ref is to blame, not giving a penalty at the other end for what was more blatent.

Anyway Ipswitch arent in the relegation zone, because of 1 bad refereeing decision, there there cause they played terribly this season, eg Bolton game!
As the old saying goes 'the league table doesnt lie!'

Once again, i'm not a ManU supporter .. .whats this 'yee have a mountain business?'
I am not biased against either team. I actually hope the Gunners win the title, but your views discredit football in general.

P.S. My team will be in europe next year, and have already won a trophy! G'wan the Rovers! Duff is not 4 sale!

RvN fell over his own long legs the dope....

robbed us of second place as well as Ipswichs' Premiership status

Hmm, ive gotta say i thought it was a blatant dive. I dont think contact was made. Having said that, ALL forwards do it and unfortunatly its up to the ref to decide. He just made the wrong descion.

RvN is indeed a talented player, but (biased as i am) i think Henry is the more complete forward with his ability to create goals as well as finish them.

Well, its not over yet by a long shot - my nerves are bloody shot and i assume it will only get worse tonight

I believe United are second in the fair play stakes so plz take your accusations of cheating elsewhere.

My own assessment of the situation was RVN fell just before the Ipswich player fell on top of him, and thought he was fouled. He didn't exactly do any Di Canio like screaming for a penalty, and if he hadn't gotten it he would have picked himself up and played on.

before tonight i was cursing the mans name but watching Monday Night Football they showed that contact was made and it was actually a good decision by the referee.

The fair play stakes are based on cautions and sendings off, not on how often players take a dive. By in large though, Utd players don't take a dive that often. Beckham and RvN do it on occasion, but 9/10 times contact is made, even they will rather run with it than fall over. Besides which, if contact isn't enough to make you fall over, but is enough of a foul to deny you a goal-scoring chance, very often the referee won't give it. You need to make the most of the contact in order to draw the referee's attention- yes it's not sportsmanlike, but neither are 99% of the comments made by Alex Ferguson. It's just the state of the game in the modern age, we as fans just need to accept things have changed and move on. In addition, penalty incident or otherwise, Utd were the better team and deserved to win- certainly more than I can say of our semi-final tie. But we're in the final nonetheless, beat those sarf lundun pretenders, and hold on for the premiership, and we'll have another double in the cabinet- falter a bit towards the end, and we'll only have ourselves to blame
