I have a user here who when she tires to print from Quark she gets a "out of memory" error, it doesn't matter what printer she tires to print to or what she tries to print.
I have not got a clue about MAC's and now I have to support them!!! Does anyone have any idea what might cause this, I have increased the virtual memory(or whatever it's called on a MAc) to no avail. Please help

Find the Applications icon (i.e. not a shortcut), and select it. Go to File -> Get info. (while quark is closed)

Get the memory info. Change the preferred amount to something bigger than what's there.

Also, try running it with all other applications closed.

If you have a Mac of OS 9 or 8 or so you have to tell the application how much memory from the computer to take.

But if what Timod says doesn't work you may need to go into the system and clean it up a little, did that work?? In fact did printinge ever work?

I know it may sound stupid but did you install printer drivers or pick the printer in the chooser?
