Campaign for moving BBC 1 & 2 to first page of EPG????

Does anyone think there is any merit in this campaign? It would be nice to have BBC1 and BBC2 on the same page as our Irish stations, since I'd say that these channels account for a large percentage of all viewing???? Maybe I'm getting too greedy now that we have RTE! By the way, does anyone know why these two channels are so far down the pecking order??

Whole reorganisation of that silly epg line up needed big time!
But Sky won't want to do that-no doubt they have it the way it is for some selfish reason.
Like if they had the choice(and weren't compelled otherwise) they would have Sky one on 101 and sky news on 102 etc:mad:

The reason that BBC1 and BBC2 are so far down on the EPG is that they were the next available space for them. However there are huge gaps in the EPG due to the closure of some channels and the unavailability of others to us here in Ireland.

Hopefully there will be a big reshuffle of the EPG. I did out a pontential EPG for Ireland in some thread ages ago. I'll try to find it again.

I understand that Sky want Sky One up as high as possible but I thing that an EPG position of 111 is very advantageous. Three simple keystrokes to access the channel. Easier that RTÉ1 (or BBC1 in the UK).

I Think they probably think we don't key in the channels like that at all
What with the "Bee's knee's" of an electronic programme guide and all....
I key in the numbers all the time anyhow.

Given the educational/entertainment content of Granada Men and Motors late night programming, I think they should be higher up the EPG.

At that rate they should put TV3 praha on there aswell:D

It's got more in common with its name sake here ie: lots of U.S programming in Czech language.

They could put BBC ONE on 16, BBC TWO on 162 BBC CHOICE on 163 and BBC FOUR on 164 would also be very logical.

On another point, I predict that RTE will take TARA's old slot in NI. Either that or after Fashion TV.

I agree , I think BBC should be up there near the Irish stations,At the mom you have to drop two pages to get to the BBC.Again I ask why cant we contact Mark Deering- BSkyB(Irl) to at least get answers to these queries and a lot of others-Where does he hide? Sod the EPG numbers,use the favourite button for what you want.Sky channels should be pulled from the BBC Free to view card EPG,its a pain in the arse which wont go away! As for tv3 Praha, great stuff and soft porn "why not?", communists are turning in their graves.

What does the Fav button do ,except put a tick after the station?

Pressing your Blue button on your Sky remote will scroll through your favourites, showing you what's on now/next.

It also puts that pleasant looking tick after each of the channels
