You know you grew up in the 1980's if .
You solved the Rubics cube.....by peeling off the stickers

You can sing the rap to "the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"

You yearned to be a member of the Baby-sitters club and tried to start a
    club of your own.

You owned those little Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls

You used to collect fancy paper/marbles/football stickers and swap them

If you played the chipmunks Christmas album all year long!
For those who had BBC1 you remember Saturday morning Live and Kicking when its 1st started with Philip Scofield and Gordon the Goffer

Remember reading Kool-Aid man, Bunty, Mandy and Judy, Dandny or Beano comics

You ever watched Fraggle Rock/The Brady Bunch/Alf and the rest....

You had plastic streamers on the handle bars of your bike or else a basket on the front

You remember When it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to
watch cartoons like the Care Bares (care bare stare and no what it meant)/Scooby Doo/the Smurfs

You saw the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the big screen and had your collection of them

You made your mom buy you one of those clips that would hold your shirt in
    a knot on the side

You had pictures of Bros or New Kids on the Block on your bedroom wall (your mum always new it was a phase and it would pass)

    L.A. GEAR
You used to own the cabbage patch dolls or a glow worm

You remember reading the Famous Five and the Secret Seven or books by Judy Blume

You know the profound meaning of "Wax on,Wax off"

You wanted to be a Goonie

You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before his nose fell off

You still get the urge to use "NOT" at the end of every statement you (not!!)

You thought Sheera and He-Man should hook up

You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged
"friendship bracelets" (jesh how wrong where u)

You ever owned a pair of Jelly Shoes

After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you couldn't stop saying "I know you
    are but what am I?"

You remember "I've fallen...and I can't get up!" (after your paretns took your stablizers of your bike)
For those Liverpool fans you remember Ian Rush (and that dodgy moustache)

You remember going to the skating before there were inline skates

You know not to mix poprocks and soda (but did it anyway!)

You have played with hula hoops and used to make up fancy moves

You had or went to a birthday party at McDonald's
You remember watching wrestling and the Hulk/the Undertaker/the British Bulldog and Jake the Snake

You learned oldies songs by watching Alvin and the Chipmunks

You remember dancing along with the Bangles in "Walk Like An Egyptian"

You've gone through this list occasionally saying "That wasn't from the
80's" or else saying "God, yeah I used to love that"

You remember Popples (oohh they were so cute and adorable) or the wuzzles (those who think im lying check out www.angelfire.com/in/luvwiththe80s/wuzzlepage.html <http://www.angelfire.com/in/luvwiththe80s/wuzzlepage.html>
and then see if you can remember who they are

    DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wore socks over tights with boot runners

You wore like 8 pairs of socks at once, scrunched down

MISS MARY MACK MACK MACK ALL DRESSED IN BLACK BLACK BLACK.....
You remember you had a collection of records and tapes rather than CDs

You remember watching both "Gremlins" movies

    You remember the Transformers

You remember Rainbow Bright and My Little Pony Tales and probably had a collection of them

You remember Alf, the little furry brown alien from Melmac

You remember the large amounts of hairspray used or else the criming of hair and those dodgy punk styles

You remember those very stylish headbands

You remember the beggining of New Kids on the Block

You remember watching The Cosby show

You remember Michael J. Fox in Family Ties and Back to the Future

You know all the names of the gang from "Saved by the Bell" (Zac/AC Slater/Screech Kelly/Jessie/Lisa and not forgetting Mr. B. and the Max Cafe)

You know all the words to Bon Jovi's "shot through the heart" song
You either remember having an Atari Computer/Nintendo or if you were lucky Comodore 64

Anyone remember a program called "Round the Bend" or something like that?
I can only vaguely remember it but I think it was presented by some alligator puppet or something and had funny shows like "Wooly the Wonder Sheep" and "Thunderpants" (a parody of Thundercats).

I remember when Zig and Zag first appeared on "Dempsey's Den". I think I have The Nothing to do With Toast video at home, though it's VHS so time has ravaged its tape. :(
