Mock election update

Some of you may remember my post on a mock election a few weeks back....well....tomorrows the day the poll takes place.

My mate and I got four speakers to come in:
Seamus Kirk TD on the 15th - Fianna Fail
Michael Bell TD on the 16th - Labour
Pat O'Neill on the 17th - No Incineration Alliance
Senator Fergus O'Dowd on the 19th - Fine Gael

All but O'Neill are running in Louth, he's running in Meath. Bell and O'Dowd are from Drogheda, O'Neill from Duleek and Kirk from Dundalk

Kirk was the most boring of the lot in that he gave us an economic history of Ireland from 1987 instead of telling us why we should vote FF. O'Dowd was the only one who asked us to vote for his party.

I have made up the ballot paper and voting takes place tomorrow. Will try to keep you all posted.

    #1:No Incineration Alliance
    #2:Fine Gael
#3:Fianna Fail, whose speaker was awful. Voters may have been influenced by parents attitudes etc
#4:Green Party;stance on incineration made them the surprise package
#5:Sinn Fein, most of whose transfers went to FF
    #6:Labour
    #7:Progressive Democrats

Which constituency is your school actually in?

Well I'm in Drogheda Grammar School, which is just in Meath but there is a roughly 50/50 split between those in Meath and Louth which is why we had candidates from 2 constituiencies.

Not even the signs or Pa o'Brien in the Drogheda Independent?
Speaking of which, our story is in this weeks edition and also yesterdays EL in the Irish Times.
