    Hello Zodiacs

I was at the last gig & thought it was amazing - TURN, Melaton & others kicked ass (what happened to Pony Club????)

I would love to see the following acts in the Zodiac Lounge:

    Ten Spead Racer.

    Gemma Hayes

    Savile

    Damien Dempsey

    Paddy Casey

    Glen Hanson

    JJ72

A big wish list I know, but hey you can't knock a girl for asking !!

well i just checked out a website of a band called the jive principle and i was really impressed. you are able to download loads of their tracks and you might recognise early warning ir is always being played on phantom and i only found out today who they were. I'd love to see them live - they have some live tracks you can download aswell which sound pretty impressive

    check it out

    www.thejiveprinciple.com

polar are pretty cool too and are giving out free cds on their website

I'm also a JJ72 fan but I think they are still in the States (not 100%)

    Damien Rice
    The Frames
    Brando

Sorry I forgot; Joan of Arse saw them in Whelan’s & would love to see them acoustically

Pony Club had to pull out last week at the last minute because Mark had a throat infection, we will have them back in May.

Joan of Arse is a good idea we will get on the case.

Ten Spead Racer are in the UK (me thinks) recording a new album.

Paddy Casey & Damien Dempsey - we have established contact & we are getting a good vibe so "watch this space"

Savile - Are not available Wednesday nights

Glen Hanson - contract commitments with the Dublin Castle gig.

Gemma Hayes - in UK working on Album, will play in June

JJ72 - as pointed out in the US

Brando - Playing this Wednesday with Hi Rise

Damien Rice - We are working on it

thats everybody I think, keep the sugestions coming - We do Aim to please

    Cheers

    Zodiac Crew

this is an odd thread: angle replies to zodiac with suggestions and then seems to answer her own suggestions with news on whether the bands *she* suggested would be playing or not in zodiac. it's very confusing.

but anyway, here are my suggestions:

    goodtime john
gabrielle y rodrigue (sp?) - they might not be irish, but they're living here ... and they're good

    um, that's it.

Would you allow 'heavier' (for want of a better word) bands to play at all?

If you did, I would like to see:

    Onemandown
    Cub Scout Disco
    Epik

It's before you get to the pod on harcourt street - the basement of the harcourt hotel.
i've been at 2 of the nights so far and it is a good opportunity to see a different side to a lot of bands. Turn were drunk but good and I also thought mr. ben were really cool.
biased opinion - get Louise Byrne !
