My phone call with an eircom gent went like this.
Eircom: So do you want us to install
    Hi speed?
Pertinax: Do i have to pay for calls?
    Eircom: No it isn't.
Pertinax: I mean is flat rate?
    Eircom: Am, Yes it is.
    Pertinax: Are you sure?
    Eircom: Yes.

One possibility is that he didnt know anything about what he was trying to sell to me and the other possibility involves jockeys in mountjoy which i won't go into.

what they mean is that its flat rate until you decide to use it.it was the under tone and paralanguage that told you all this and thats the contract you would have agreed to so you would have no leg to stand on.
