Installed this tonight and have been unable to find drivers for an Audigy sound card ...

I've a million other questions but this one is mainly bugging me.

Anyone know where to find them under this os , and perhaps have recommendations for Linux websites with an idiot in mind :D

Have a traul througth this lot. from what i have read the sblive module should work with it, all be it a newer one than the one that may have come with you Mandrake Distrobution.

Also a little reading about whats going on for the audigy on opensound development.

    is it an ISA card?

    try running sndconfig as root

what model is the card exactly - it is very likely that the drivers are part of mdk8.2 - it's just finding and setting them up that can be tricky

if you read the topic of his post you see he said Audigy, ie the Creative Labs Sound blaster Audigy and its support is only beta at the moment as it is only a new card. It is quite possible the emu10k module for the SBlive will work, but its recomened that he update to the newest version.

Thanks flamegrill, interesting place that, thanks for the link.

In the end used drivers from

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1/

which were a royal pain in the a** to install (for a newbie), but its working now.
