Seeing as I am no expert on technical issues, can someone explain whether what I am going to say could make any sense.

Went into a shop in the Cork area not too long ago. I was looking for a Digisender, of which I actually got in Argos some time later. Anyway the man in the shop reckoned there is a certain Digisender coming on the market which has a tuner within??????. This can be connected in some way to the sky system and you can individually tune in the Sky channels on your telly(ie eack sky channell to a dedicated channell on the telly, just as if you were storing terrastial chanells . The man seemed quite genuine, but there must be more to it then that. Anyone hear anything similar. Thre was no reason for him to spin a yarn to a regular punter coming into his shop

    He's either mad or stupid.

The digibox only outputs one channel at a time. No Digisender (even one with a "tuner") can change that.

    Thanks Charles,

So would I be right in saying there is no such thing as a tuner in a digisender, what purpose would it serve if all its going to be doing is sending the picture of the channel its on??. Sorry for the stupid questions but I really have no idea of the technical side of things.

The guy you were talking to seems to have gone to the same school as a guy installing Sky digital in my area.
He says in a genuine voice that there are so many Sky dishes being installed now that soon there will not be enough signal to get to them all:rolleyes: :D:D
    Cannot be convinced otherwise...
It's a bit like someone asked me the other day, was I getting Sky from the same place as they were...!
I would expect a better level of knowledge from a Sky installer though:rolleyes:
