If you said 5 years ago that a commercial channel would pay upto Euro 500m for the telly rights of the Divisions One to Three would have been laughed at:rolleyes:
And yet Gordon Tayler& Co. managed to find a bunch allienized, big headed people who where actually prepaired to pay for the monopoly on the Football Divisions exclusives! and my God did they manage to convince the ITV baboons to give them an offer they were dreaming of !! Brilliant! any chairman or negotiator who was actually involved closely to the negotiations should be rewarded with a knighthood ( or some other weird order the have in England :o ) because in all fairness : ITV policy makers must have been blinded by Sterling Signs because in all fairness even a match in the premier league between Southampton and Leicester City would not draw big crowds of viewers whilst with Man U-Arsenal or Liverpool- Leeds you will always get those viewers
But now it gets worse Hull-Brighton or Sheffield Wed- Crewe Alexandra, Rushden&Diamonds - Boston hahahahaha
And it even gets better, Brittan seems to forget that they are almost the only country in the world where Digi TV is really getting a bit of attention.............
So Gordon Taylor&Co should actually have been a bit more reallistic towards this deal and the clubs signed it because of all this money some player in the first and even second division are having Contracts worth a half a million a year....

I was always thought by my mother that is you play with fire you also automaticly accepts that you can burn your fingers!

Maybe Gordon can one day even been prime minister of the UK and really show how to negotiate !
