    So Indigo goes bye bye...

Aren't you just filled with confidence when you read words like "committment to be the premier Internet Service Provider" and "building on our success" from eircom rolleyes.gif

rofl. They take the E rcom.net from one name and the err, the i from indigo to create the ingenious eircom.net. Clever.

How will this affect people with indigo.ie email addresess?

"How will this affect people with indigo.ie email addresess?"

    It won't
Basically it means that Indigo wont be actively marketed as a brand any more. Your email address will remain as before. Eircomnet and Indigo's noc are more or less fully integrated anyway..

Actually he's right this time :P , they've been getting a lot of 'analysts' asking the question why they've got 2 ISPs, particularly when they're retrenching their Internet investments. Bit stupid spending all that money on an Indigo marketing campaign, but then that's Eircon for you.

Yes, I don't have the 'balls' to back myself up in an argument about ISP's on a web board . Oh I am so 'hard' when debating technology on a message board rolleyes.gif

I await your own backing up of your statements, which will of course never materialise.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,484 ✭✭✭Gerry

joe, the only person whom you have proved wrong is yourself, with every stupid, pointless, childish post you make. Cop the **** on. You are actually the worst muppet I can remember seeing on the technology board, I'm sure most people would agree. You aren't helping your case, or being smart. You are just making it worse.

    http://uk.gsmbox.com/news/mobile_news/all/31880.gsmbox

"Last August a number of competitors alleged that Eircom was cross-subsidising its "free" internet access services provided by Indigo and Eircom net.
As the investigation came to an end, the ODTR found no evidence that Eircom’s ISP businesses were being cross-subsidised by other parts of the Eircom Group."

yea sure they were cleared but there was still people *****ing about it.
now im sure that your just going to fog this off, like "they werent complaining about them having two isp but about cross subsidis"
    but i dont really care
