This is sort of pointless tizlox.

Unless some rep of eircom posts their entire rollout plan, we have no way of knowing when and what areas will be rolled out.

unless someone can post a list of the areas on the trial at the moment then we'd have kinda a partial idea.

Don't mean to be blunt but...

As ADSL is only trialling in Dublin at the moment, what's the point in speculating for areas outside it? Yes, VDSL is being trialled in Ennis.

eircom have now gave up all interest in the ennis "information age town".
they handed all responsibility over to the INFORMATION AGE TOWN (company set up after we won the competition - not connected to eircom at all) about a month ago.
there is still like 3million euro left out of the 15million irish though, and the information age town company will have all control of this from now on.
so this could mean ennis mightnt be one of the first towns to get DSL after the trials finish in September.

To attempt to answer the question...

Dublin will get it first - and the southside of Dublin will probably get it before the northside.

Getting it last will probably be places remote areas of Donegal.

    Seems obvious really.

    Question answered by Bard

Pointless really as Dustaz has said.

    Thread locked accordingly.

If someone can supply either Dustaz or me with a list of current trial areas, I'm sure we'll be happy to append it to the thread.
