You should be able to use Gaim in Mandrake
its in netowkring, when you have it loaded, click on plugins and then select the MSn messanger plugin, then create a new account and enter your msn details
when you log on, it has your contact lists already..

    There's this app:

    http://www.everybuddy.com/

I haven't tried it yet, so I can't say if it works with MSN, but I've heard good things about it.

there are loads of MSN projects for unix nowadays, you only have to go to www.freshmeat.net and search for 'msn' and you find loads of useful tools. I quite like lmme , its a console tool that lets you connect to msn messenger from a shell, and irc2msn, letting you connect to msn messenger from a IRC server. :=)

    hope it helps.
