I happened upon this site recently. It gives info on every country on the Earth (Except for the Vatican strangely) as well as local news reports. Handy if your into your history or if your wondering what happened in San Marino this week or why it isn't part of Italy, if indeed you wonder about such things (like me with my sitting in front of the computer on Friday night life!)

Consider it bookmarked, thanks. I always found the CIA World Factbook rather handy meself.

EDIT: By the way, CountryWatch does have information on Vatican City, it's under 'H' for Holy See.

Interesting site, Thomas, thanks for the heads-up

Like Adam, I've used the CIA Factbook where necessary - this looks like a good one to use in tandem with it.

In the Irish section: "Irish Patrol Warship Concludes Visit to

Shanghai" hahahah! (the 'Warship' - http://www.military.ie/naval/niamh.htm)

Eh, soz. Yeah looks like it might be handy, but possibly naive, e.g. :
    Ethnic Divisions
    Celtic n/a
    English n/a

The pictures are also a bit diddly-eye.

Some stuff seems 'borrowed' from the CIA website or a mutual source, e.g. maps.
