Any tips for this weekends Grand National ?

    Up until the last 2 years I have had a good track record with winners in the Grand National. However I have hit a really barren patch over picking the prospective Tin of Pedigree Chum fillings.

    Does any one have any tips on horses for this weekends Aintree outing ??

    Best tip i have is dont let my mate Bren bet on the race. He has only ever placed two bets in his life.
    The first time, he backed the horse that got entangled in the 'race that never was'. Remeber the one where the start got all arsed up?
    Then he decided to try again last year..... 3 horses finished the race. cheers bren.

    Ill keep yis updated on his plans for this year ;)

    It's the one race in the year that I would never throw money at!

    Oversized fences, 4 and a half miles, not to mention the form going out the window.

    As a spectacle, its great, I do love it, but there is no way I'd tell anyone to lay a bet on it.

    An office sweep is the best way..... ;)

    Yeah but I used to be able to get 1,2,3 except for the last 2 years. Its the only nag race I actually bet on :) But I've lost my magic touch. Last year I could swear my horses were dive bombing the fences :confused:

    the only time i ever placed a bet was on the last 2 nationals
    and i got the 2 winners ie. pappilion and red maurauder...i
    didnt have a clue why i picked either ..anyway today i
    chanced my arm on ileene wonder ...i think that was the name,
    number 5 anywho..lol
