Keely does seam to have lost the plot abit. Shels are probably better off without him.

last week he was all we are going to fight this to end, battle in the courts, the rules are the rules. He wins in court, has a playoff for the league and then he wants to quit.

Thats not even it. He didnt quit before he went on TV.

He said "I am thinking about offering my resignation".

Its like he is doing his thinking on National TV.

Hey Dermot, thoughts inside head, talking outside

    What a lunatic

"No one cares about Irish league"

If nobody cared about it then this thread wouldn't exist, would it?

Did anyone see that goal scored by prunty (i think) of Longford against Pats at the weekend. What a peach. I saw him get a similar one against Bohs earleir in the season, but that was brilliant. He was about 30 yeards out. Keeper had no chance

    Peach

Your all ****ed when the true kings of Irish soccer move to Tallaght!

Shels are pityful anyway, prolly the most money in the league of ireland and the least amount of fans :)

Yeah that was an excellent goal MOTM. I don't think it was Prunty though. The standard of play in that match was excellent. If anyone says that Irish football is just for rejects that aren't third division standard in England I must say that they are very wrong. Alright it may not be up at the standard of the premiership but it certainly is first division standard and this will improve.

I thought it was very entertaining and I was intending on watching one of the English premiership matches but didn't because I thought I might miss something. And this is coming from someone who knew nothing about the Irish League before now.

Pity Dundalk had to go down... :( But I guess at the end of the day Longford deserved to stay up judging by their performance. Well for now anyway.

Don't think it's as good as the 1st Division in England (Coventry looked a class above UCD in the pre-season friendly in Belfield) but the top of the Eircom League would easily survive in the 2nd Division. Richie Foran said that $hels would have the 3rd Division won by Christmas!

Speaking as an away fan in Oriel Park twice this year, no it's not! The prospect of going to Flancare Park in Longford is much more appealing than Dundalk.
