Firstly, scoring 'A' for effort, 'D' for informed opinion:
    Mayor joins Net access campaign
Campaigners for flat-rate or at least lower-rate internet access may be surprised to find they have a new ally: Dublin's Lord Mayor, Michael Mulcahy.
Departing from his prepared speech at the introduction of the Dublin.ie website in Guinness's Gravity Bar, The Lord Mayor clearly startled many in the audience by insisting theat the State, or the telcos, or someone, dammit, should provide free or almost-free internet access.
In addition, free access via ISDN lines (!) should be given to all the housing estates and poorer areas of the city, Besides wondering if this was appointed vote of no confidence in DSL ever being generally available across the city, The Margin had a vision of the middle classes staging their first ever riot over the provision of free internet access to the housing estates when the rest of us are stuck on costly metered, dial-up access.

Secondly, own up whoever this is:
Geek gets groovy with T-shirt slogan
Remember the days when T-shirts shocked. For years The Margin wanted to wear an Adidhash one but settled instead for the Clash's Joe Strummer smashing his guitar on stage.
Imagine The Margin's surprise when he spotted a portly and pale young man sporting one with the legend "Will work for bandwidth". Truly the geeks have inherited the earth.
