I often passed this place (bar with seafood cuisine) in
the Strawberry beds, Liffey/Lucan area. I wondered
if it is worth trying. Is it good pub food, etc? Any
opinions or experiences good or bad...

Hope this isn't too contentious. Just curious about the
place as it seems like it could be worth exploring
from the outside impression I get of it.

Was there for Sunday lunch Easter - very nice, even though not a big seafood fan. But good beef, turkey, chicken etc. Better than the average carvery although service was a little scattered. Never tried the restaurant upstairs but the menu looked a little expensive - 50 euro for a main course?

    50 euro for a main course......sheeks.
I might give the pub grub section a go though.
I hope its better than Johnnie Foxes in the
dublin mountains. I can't abide by that place

I used to drink there, most Fridays from after work till whenever - moved Pub this winter because there was no life in the place anymore.

I've also spent a fair number of Sat afternoons drinking there, watching matches, eating etc

The food is usually good, but a little pricey for standard pub grub. I think you're talking about 6-9 old pounds for a lunch depending. As it's owned by Wrights of Howth they specialise in seafood.

It is quite a nice place, and a great spot, but the new management really didn't do much for it. Ah, Joe where are you now?
