If RTE/TV3/NET 2 and TG4 are on sky digital Channel 4 is all i'm looking for. I don't really think UTV has too much to offer unless you like depressing UTV live news!

Channel 4 on the other hand produces some of the best programming on TV and I'd be willing to pay for it no problem.

Which channel is more importaint to get on sky digital in the republic of ireland ? 44 votes

Have to agree that Channel 4 is the UK channel that I would most like to see appear on the Irish EPG.

However I would like to see UTV and the other BBC channels too.

Ditto, Shane. Other BBCs would be my primary choice however.

I think that geography will come into the voting here. Anyone who can pick up UTV/HTV and Channel 4 probably don't mind if they are not on Sky so would vote for extra BBC's and ITV2. Those who can't get the UK channels will vote for UTV and Channel 4.

Maybe we should have constituencies :D

For the border counties constituency, I propose UTV for the news. *

    Damien.

    * although my vote is for BBC services :)

And for the FTV constituency it must be ITV2 :)

If you live in Cork and don't want to be tormented by Chorus C4 is the only choice :D

Channel 4 is one of my fav channels and for that reason i wouldn't be prepared to drop cable at the moment

BBC Choice, BBC Four and all the BBC radio stations.

    No contest.

Good god Charles(no offence) but I would take Ch 4 over BBC Choice any day-it's woefull.
Even though it does show films, they are not new and probably seen before.
BBC four I like,it's very high brow though at times, but excelent documentaries. It does seem to be taking a whole Horizon section from BBC 2.

For the Wexford constituency i voted for Ch 4 as it's not available by any official means, except chorus cable and mmds(sometimes).

Channel 4 most definitely, although in my area (North Cork) Channel 4 is available through south coast tv which provides a damn good service round these parts. As far as I can tell South coast TV are feeded BBC1+2 from sky digital and Channel 4 is probably from Chorus... not sure though.. HTV is still the same analogue from Wales.

(just in case anyone is interested) :o

Channel 4 definitely, I would like to see BBC three ,four, news 24 on the EPG here instead of going into other channels :(

If I was a subscriber, it would bug me that FTA channels (i.e. BBC digital channels) weren't on the epg.
