speaking as a neutral liverpool are the most boring team not only in the premiership but also in the champions league. apart from owen they have no quality going forward. nearly all their goals come from the oppositions mistakes or from set pieces.

I'm a life long Liverpool fan, and even I have to admit that in this seasons Champions League Liverpool have not been the most exciting team. But to be honest they are "playing the game". Its a long time since liverpool have played in the European Cup and with the group that they have its no wonder that they are being cautious and not going all out attack. Its all tactics. Teams like Barca and Roma preffer to play against attacking teams as they can score alot easier against those types of teams. Liverpool play like that on perpose to frustrate the bigger European sides, waiting for them to make a mistake. Last seasons Uefa Cup is a perfect example of how effective style of play is against European sides.

As for Liverpool being boring in the Premiership, thats just bull. They are 3rd in the league, only one win of the top and with a goal difference as good as any in the league. Boring teams dont beat Man U 5 times on the trot, win a tremble, beat Leeds 4-0, Ipswich 5-0, and so on...........

I'm sure many will disagree, but the fact is Liverpool are up there with the best in the World and could easily pintch the league title this season.

it may be true that they have a good chance of winning the premiership but seriously watching liverpool is a bad advertisement for football.all of their midfielders are defensive minded. could you really see danny murphy getting into arsenals or man utd's midfield?

Don't watch them then. I'm sure your subscription to ManU TV doesnt cover Liverpool matches anyway.

    Liverpool pwn Man Utd.

    Get over it.

Wow I guess donkeys can score too :)
roma are a quality team, and will win by two goals easily.

Now if you'd only typed 'Liverpool' instead of 'Roma' :p

    Liverpool 2 Roma 0

    Need I say more.

As for Danny Murphy, I seriously doubt either Fergusen or Wenger would say no to having him in their squad.

boavista are hardly as good as roma now are they? Liverpool may have scored less but it was a better result.

FINALLY, we are getting back to where every1 knows we belong, to the top!!

I really thought trying to fill Didi's position was going to be difficult. Lets face it, there aint many better at breaking up close quick passing movements and anticipating where and when to intercept. Stevie G managed it brilliantly last night, better than any other time he has tried to fill those shoes. He totally controlled the midfield for large parts of the match.

Please stay injury free for the last part of the season Stevie G

Scousers did well alright, but for some reason Italian teams cannot seem to handle british teams lately, Celtic should have beat Juve, Arsenal will beat them, United beat Inter, Liverpool taught Roma a lesson, but yet when we all come up against the likes of Real, Depor or Barca we get whipped, not 2 sure why, to be honest, no eng team is goin to win the champ leagues this year

It's because the Spanish teams and league are the best in Europe at the moment. My money's on Deportiva de la Coruna, those boys are going all the way.

sssssssh dont say that you might get into a lot of trouble with certain people like I did:)

    This champ league
    Depor bt Utd
    Depor bt Utd
    Barce bt Liverpool
    Barce drew Liverpool
    Depor bt Arsenal
    Depor bt Arsenal

Liverpool however on their form last night could beat every team left in the competition. If they continue to play like that they can win it.
I do think Real Madrid will win it though.

Liverpool, cos the knockout stages are ideally suited to their game.

    And if not them, Deportivo.

Real haven't looked that convincing in any game I've seen so far.

Has everybody written off the holders, Bayern?

I think any of the last 8 could be hopeful of being Champions
but if the Reds play like they did last on Tueday with the same
4-3-1-2 formation they have a very good chance indeed.

Not once did I go "Agh!, if only Owen was playing" thats a testament to how good they were!

    Mike.
