I've been invited to talk at the Redbrick society meeting tonight.

If you are around please drop in as its gonna look really weird if its just me, my mum and some bloke who thought it was the Applied Archeology lecture.

Ok, look, I'll buy you pints. Ok? smile.gif

    DeVore.

I wont bve speaking until 7pm, ahead of me are two people from Heanet apparently.

    The running order is
    7pm: start
    7:45pm: finish
    Questions and answers.
    Go to pub.

I've kept the talk light enough and I've dug up a few gems (like a screenshot of the first ever web browser and also Ireland's first website) and interviewed a few key people in the industry regarding their memories of the origins of the Internet in Ireland.

You can ask all the tough questions at the end smile.gif

    Tom.

There was a decent crowd there in fact (I thought there'd be 10 too!).
The Heanet reps gave a really good talk before me. They didnt spare the tech and it was all the better for that.

I waffled for an hour and 20 mins and neatly avoided arkward questions by not asking for any at the end smile.gif oops.

The redbrick guys were sound and had their **** together. They also gave me a birthday present for taking time out on my birthday which was really appreciated.

Noone fell asleep, which was nice smile.gif
