Remember Eirstream, the satellite internet product being sold in Ireland by Educom? Their webpage seems to have dissappeared: http://www.eirstream.ie gives the message "This site has been de-activated For further information contact 01-8601995".

Educom, the company that were offering the Eirstream product still have a website here: http://www.educom.ie/.

    Lads,

No reason to panic, what happened is that Educom registered the domain www.eirstream.ie. However when they recently tried to register "Eirdtream" as a business name they found out that our great friends Eircon had already done so. The service will be renamed over the next few days ("Inertia" of all names...).
All info etc. can still be accessed through the Educom site though...
If you have any question about it PM me and I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Yeah I saw your post on ie.comp. So how long have you been a re-seller of Educom's satellite access broadband? How many people have bought it so far?

I've been talking to the lads in Educom/Eirstream for about three months now, didn't get them to install the dish straight away though as I knew we would be mving offices in the near future. Have been using it myself for a few weeks now and am very, very happy with it.
I did not start to actively re-sell it until the beginning of last week because I wanted to "kick it around" a bit myself first. Have sold one system so far (installed within less than a week from ordering!). Have several people very interested and have several demos planned over the next week or so..
It might not be the be all and end all of broadband, but my god is it a welcome improvement.
The lads in Educom are also ver helpfull (if they're not drinking my beer...)
