I cant stand these things everytime I try to watch the TV someone is watching Eastenders, Corination St., Fair City or Home and Away - I hate these progs there always on AND they repeat them twice on the same channel and then they are on about three other channels aswell!!!!!

Duztaz, Trek is sci-fi, Buffy is fantasy. There's no need to drag them down to the level of the traditional soap opera.

In fact don't even bother comparing them. Trek and Buffy/Angel/Whatever are weekly serials. Just because they’re American doesn’t mean it's Sunset Beach all of a sudden. FS.

I think Dustaz's point is valid though. Star Trek is getting increasingly soap-operaish. But the worst of all is wrestling on sky at the moment. God it is so melodramatic.

on american soaps. they are a bread of their own. when I was last over there. It seemed that there was a competition among them to see who could make theirs look the most rediculous. There was ones with witches and everything. Plain stuipid.
