get a dictionary!!

i propose to ban the word "like" as a descriptive word. you might have heard it being used on your bus, dart or local pub. you may occasionally say "he was like, 'where were you?'" but you can no longer say "he was like..." and make a gesture with your hands. that's not going to fly.

Its Y'know and yeah (think ex sprinter Sally Gunnell) that really bugs me but loike comes a close second.

I say like sometimes. But not excessively, i used to and then one day my sister started counting how many times i said it out loud for a day - i eventually went mad and stopped saying it!

It's an unconscious habit really, and i dont think i'm too excessive now.

my sis went through a "like" phase, every second word "like" oh god we nearly killed her. I think its a stage in the female development when they hit mid to late teens they start to "like" all the time.

and when combined you hear sentences such as:
"I was like, Oh My GOD!!"

The problem with that is that they take about 5 minutes to say "Oh My God".

One other way of saying something springs to mind, some southsiders say "Yahhh" instead of "Yes" this really annoys me *Takes out hammer and bashes all Yahhh saying southsiders*
